Innovative dance company McNicol Ballet Collective brings its latest programme of virtuosic dance work by Andrew McNicol to the Next Generation Festival.

Devotions features the world premiere of Moonbend, a work that is by turns earthbound and ethereal. Set to a score by visionary pop artist Perfume Genius and with costumes British designer Louise Flanagan, this new work demonstrates the company’s passion for the connection between movement and music.

The programme will also include Of Silence, an exploration of hope and belonging inspired by the music of Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks. Plus, an extended version of the company’s 2021 creation Bates Beats, an exuberant and energetic work that showcases the virtuosity of the dancers, set to music by Mason Bates.
